Stay Humble

We are beyond fortunate to have EB join our team and embark on this amazing journey with us. She brings a multitude of talents to Crescent Grace, including but not limited to experience and expertise in healthcare leadership, management, and quality assurance. Like minded, she is also committed to grounded ethics based patient care with an emphasis on truly individualized care and patient safety.

She joins us providing support in strategic planning, assisting in overcoming  the challenges that come with management of a healthcare company in a way that allows our phenomenal team to provide the best eating disorder care.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Duke University and a Doctor of Medicine from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. She is one of only 300 female board-certified neurosurgeons in the US with experience treating all manner of spinal disorders, brain and spine tumors, strokes and nervous system trauma. She performed the first GammaTile surgery in the state of Alabama.

Fully recovered from Bulimia Nervosa, she understands first-hand the necessity of high-quality, person-centered care to support a life without an eating disorder. Her soul is an incredible testament to the reality of living a life full of possibility and freedom.

Besides being a successful surgeon, EB is proud to be the daughter, sister, cousin and friend to some truly amazing people in her life. She dares to live life to the fullest. She proudly shares that she can ski a double black diamond, run a marathon, slalom water ski, is certified in SCUBA diving and a five-time intramural flag football champion. She also admits her most recent claim to fame is to have kept and orchid alive long enough for it to get new flowers. Her “toxic trait” is immediately forgetting the plot to the book she just enjoyed reading.

EB’s idea of a perfect Saturday includes coffee and a book in her backyard, listening to the birds and visiting with her plants. She may find her way to the gym or take a hike with her dogs, Dolly and RJ, her beloved rescues.  She might catch up house chores or take a nap! The best day would end with dinner with family or friends and both!

The entire point of life is to make your younger self proud and your future self grateful.
